Every great city has its secrets, hidden corners, and unique rhythm. For me, Olympia is a place where history, community, and natural beauty intersect in a way that you won’t find anywhere else.

This walking tour business was created out of a love of storytelling and a lifetime of teaching. Before launching these tours, I spent almost a decade teaching middle and high school Social Studies, helping students connect deeply with civics and history. In 2017, I took that love for education outside the classroom and began guiding student field trip groups around our beautiful State Capitol grounds right here in Olympia.

My experience with students on those tours brought education into action — I realized the best way to truly experience history, civic life, and local art is to walk through it.

Whether we are looking at the vibrant murals downtown, tracing the deep indigenous roots of the South Sound, remembering marginalized groups that contributed life and labor, or exploring the campus where monumental decisions are made, my goal is to give you an insider’s look at the place I call home.
